CYBER-DESIGN - Letter to our clients, consultants and industry partners

Hi everyone and welcome to week four. This is a closed circuit email to our contacts on current projects only and directly related to project operations.. Here are relevant project-specific updates that I thought important to share:

 LOGISTICS and OPERATIONS

We are completely functional, we have almost! fully adapted to the new norms and everyone at Dochia is working from separate locations. We’ve always had project tasks effectively distributed among staff and as a result, individual workload moves exactly the same as ‘before’.

What is changing is the way we communicate internally and the way we interact with you:

With minimal glitching, all internal reviews are by now transferred to cyberspace and project deliverables are well-handled. We’re now setting up processes to safely and effectively coordinate with you, review work progress, and get your input. Calls, conferencing and online platforms are the obvious norm. We will keep you posted with specifics.

No, we’re not working from bus stops, but we could 😎. It certainly feels like we’re travelling between two worlds and figuring out how to best operate in this new one is an adventure!

DESIGN, DRAWINGS, FIXTURES and FURNITURE

Our office is cloud-based, projects are well indexed, and data is equally accessible from anywhere. There was virtually no impact in the way we access and update files.

FINISHES LIBRARY and SAMPLE BOARDS

Stock

Thanks to our suppliers, for which we are ever so grateful, our in-house sample and catalogue library is extensive and current! This is a fantastic resource to have now at our fingertips as it allows us to move ahead with finishes selections for ongoing and new projects.

Access

For safety reasons we’ve set up sequential staff access to the library and use divided areas in the office to display and review multiple projects. This minimizes contact and handling of same samples by all staff.

FURTHER INFORMATION

While far from complete, these are critical and immediate measures. Over the course of the next few weeks, we will continue to transition and adapt all our operations to the current reality.

To keep you informed, we’ve created a CYBERDESIGN section on our website where we will share the tools and methods we use to keep the office active and functional. I hope you will find the information and our methods useful and if you do, please feel free to share them.

Have a good week everyone!
