Advocacy for Wellbeing
Driven by the belief that health is a fundamental right, Adriana has spent nearly a decade conducting research at the intersection of design, mental health, and wellbeing. Through her articles, talks, and published protocols, she shares freely accessible spatial therapy strategies that empower individuals to create environments supportive of emotional balance, cognitive clarity, and long-term wellness. Her work bridges academic research and practical application, making wellbeing-oriented design knowledge available to a broad audience.
Design Community Involvement
Adriana has actively contributed to the advancement of the interior design profession through her longstanding involvement with ARIDO, including serving a full three-year term as a Board Director. Her work on the Board and committees helped shape policies and standards that elevated interior design as a recognized, respected profession in Ontario. Her leadership during this period supported advocacy efforts that reinforced the vital role interior designers play in the built environment and public well-being.
Democratizing Access to Design
Adriana is deeply committed to breaking down financial and systemic barriers to design. Through the development of free and affordable tools such as the Plug-and-Play System and Hybrid Method, she enables individuals and families—regardless of budget—to access meaningful design solutions that enhance daily living. For Adriana, design is not merely aesthetic; it is a functional health-supporting tool, and she believes its benefits should be accessible to all.
